UM, HI, EXCUSE ME, FREAKY SHADOW PLUME?????
PLEASE STAY OUT OF MY HOUSE???????
I just wanted to check if I remembered where the shadow was swirling because I was thinking ‘gee it’d be cool if it was behind the same one that got cracked in the last transmission’
…bUT I THINK I’VE CHANGED MY MIND!!
if transmission 12 has a whole ass shadow monster in the corner I’m gonna lose it. because this is on purpose. in transmission 10, somebody/something cracked the glass. this time, they put out the light so MAIA and the Narrator would stop broadcasting, and I’m 100% certain that the nightmare smoke is trying to get inside. (maybe it needed the dark to manifest too, or for shelter??)
I’m just a cartoon cat
This has 10k notes now.
People seem to have a lot of varied interpretations of it. Which is fine, because they’re all correct, you take what you like from it. Here are some thought I wrote about it when I was drawing this back in April of last year:
it’s about a lot of things. it’s about imposter syndrome, yes, but it’s also about gender dysphoria. its about women loving women. its about not seeing oneself from the outside, its about comparing oneself to others best versions of themselves. it’s about one particular woman i met on an internet forum fifteen years ago and its about women i have yet to meet but still feel like a silly little creature beside. i drew pansies because they’re my favorite flower before i learned they meant only friendship
Morgan Reese, strumming his guitar fairly well: anyway, here’s Wonderwall
Thoroughly Unhinged Pulp Musicals Crack Theory: Margaret IS Urania
Okay so this is all very wild but I wrote here about Kal's name and the Antikythera connection reminding me of Kalliope (shout out to @its-short-for-jackalope for figuring out that Matt's using the K spelling), and about how this could possibly link Kal (and maybe Margaret) to the Greek Gods. And well, Jack and I have been losing our minds chatting and that gave me this goofy but very fun idea. (Theory under the cut.)
Someone on the Ellen Austin: yeah, the Civil War really sucked, thank god that’s over with
Samuel, Rose, Margaret, & John, still processing everything that happened on the satellite: the civil what now
Me and @its-short-for-jackalope every time Matt Dahan releases new Pulp content:
